This policy covers the Score Monkey Live iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch app and scoremonkey.live. Contact support@scoremonkey.live with privacy questions or requests.
Information used by the app
- Game information: team names, colors, logos, scores, innings, game settings, saved profiles, finished-game records, and selected replay information.
- Camera, microphone, and photos: the app accesses these with your permission to preview, record, livestream, take photos, or choose a team logo or YouTube thumbnail. Video and audio are sent to YouTube when you start a livestream. Local recordings stay on your device unless you share them.
- Google / YouTube: when you connect YouTube, Google provides account identification, authorization tokens, and YouTube channel and broadcast information needed to show scheduled games, create and edit broadcasts, upload a thumbnail, and start or end a broadcast. The app requests YouTube account permissions through Google; it does not receive your Google password.
- Connection information: game identifiers, access tokens, pairing requests, connection timestamps, and camera status help connect your camera and scorekeeper. Battery, audio levels, capture settings, and device health can be shown to the paired remote.
- Diagnostics: the app keeps local event and device diagnostics to help explain errors. A support report is sent to us only when you choose to share it. Apple may provide TestFlight crash and beta feedback information under Apple’s policies.
Where information goes
Game settings and records are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, team libraries, saved profiles, finished-game records, and same-account connection information can sync through your private Apple CloudKit database. Apple also delivers enabled camera-interruption notifications.
When Internet remote access is used, our hosted relay processes game scores, pairing information, and encrypted remote-control messages. Remote preview images are encrypted before being uploaded to the relay; the paired devices have the decryption key. The relay keeps only the latest preview frame, serves fresh frames briefly, and clears stale preview data during service requests. This preview is separate from the video you intentionally stream to YouTube.
The beta scores service runs on ChatGPT Sites / Cloudflare infrastructure. The main website is hosted by Hostinger. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, request times, and technical access logs to operate and protect their services.
Shared scores and public watch pages
A viewer score link permits read-only access to that game. Anyone who receives the link can view the shared score until you revoke it. Keep remote control and pairing invitations private.
Publishing a game to the SSSA watch page is optional. Published listings can include the title, schedule, score, inning details, and YouTube video or replay link. Private YouTube broadcasts are excluded. An unlisted YouTube video becomes easier to discover if you publish its link on a public watch page.
YouTube and Google
Score Monkey Live uses YouTube API Services. Your use of YouTube features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Google may collect information when you use a YouTube player or authorize the app.
We use Google user data to provide the YouTube features you request, not for advertising or sale. Score Monkey Live’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
You can sign out in the app or revoke access through Google account permissions. Signing out does not delete a video from YouTube, a previously shared game record, or a public watch listing. Request removal of service-held information by emailing us. We will process deletion of authorized YouTube data under our control as soon as possible and within 30 days of a verified request or known revocation, as required by YouTube’s policies.
Retention and deletion
Local and private iCloud game libraries remain until you delete them through the app or your Apple device/account controls. Saved video files and photos follow your device’s storage controls. Relay game records and published watch listings can remain after a game ends; a game ending does not automatically erase them. Contact us to remove service-held records. YouTube retains broadcasts and replays according to your YouTube settings and policies; use YouTube Studio to manage those copies.
Support messages and reports are retained for troubleshooting and responding to requests, and deleted when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations. Hosting access logs are managed by the hosting providers.
Website controls and cookies
This website does not include advertising pixels or a separate analytics tracker. The watch page asks you to load the embedded games service; it may load YouTube players. Third-party hosting and video services may use cookies or similar technology. Browser controls and the providers’ privacy policies govern those services.
Your choices and security
You can disable microphone or camera access in iOS Settings, turn optional local recording off, disable notifications, revoke viewer links, remove published listings, and disconnect Google. We use encrypted transport, device storage protections, and access credentials for paired services. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Children and other people in recordings
This beta is intended for adult sports participants and organizers, not children under 13. Broadcasters are responsible for obtaining required permission to record and share participants. If you believe a child’s personal information was submitted improperly, contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app and service change. The effective date above identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated through the app or website.
